This online Psychosocial Hazards at Work — Worker Awareness course gives general workers across all industries a clear, practical understanding of what psychosocial hazards are, how to identify them, and what to do about them. It covers the nine recognised categories of psychosocial hazard, the four worker duties under Australian WHS law, the right to be consulted when hazards are identified and managed, how to recognise early warning signs in yourself and workmates, and how to raise a concern or access support — safely and without risk of adverse consequences.

This course has a 'choose your state, territory or NZ' option to ensure you receive legislation and support contacts specific to your location. 

During this course participants will learn about:

• What a psychosocial hazard is under Australian WHS law including the nine recognised categories of psychosocial hazard 
• How to recognise early warning signs of psychosocial risk in yourself and your workmates
• Workplace bullying, harassment, and discrimination as psychosocial hazards
• The specific psychosocial risk profile of fatigue and how it interacts with safety-critical tasks, and what the regulator expects from both workers and employers in these contexts.
• The worker duties under s.28 of the WHS Act (s.25 in Victoria, s.45 of the HSWA in New Zealand)— and what these mean in day-to-day practice.
• Your legal right to be consulted when psychosocial hazards are identified and how they should be managed.
• How to raise a psychosocial concern and your legal protections when reported in good faith.
• Crisis support services and workplace mental health resources specific to your state, territory, or country (Australia or New Zealand). 

The course is self-paced and takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and Participants have 3 months to complete after enrolment.
