METEX Solutions is an Approved Training Provider registered with the NSW Resources Regulator to deliver the Learning from Disasters 1-day program.
Program Overview
The program (program 3) targets practicing certificate holders for any class of mine to satisfy their maintenance of competence requirement (excluding holders restricted to a specific mine site).
The Resources Regulator has developed a Learning from-disasters training package consisting of three programs to ensure mine workers learn from past mining disasters. These programs incorporate the findings from investigations and independent reviews of mining incidents that involved fatalities and serious injury, or where the circumstances presented a significant risk of injury or death to workers or the wider community.
The program is facilitated to be interactive through group discussions based on historical incidents and applying Professor Quinlan's "Ten Pathways to Death & Disaster.

The course runs for 7 hours which is mandated by the Resources Regulator..
