 Enrolment into the course requires a learner to:

• Be 18 years of age (Proof of Age or Drivers Licence Required)
• Be currently employed either in an underground Mine, Tunnel Project or Quarry
• Have site authorisation to access to explosives and associated equipment
• Basic computer literacy
• Basic maths for calculations

Ideally a learner should already hold a valid “Security Clearance” however not a requirement to commence training.

Metex Solutions will provide the following resources:

• Learning Resources (physical learners guide)
• In-class computer resource (for completion of the theory assessment activities)
• Any ongoing support a learner may require to complete the course

Your Mine Site will need to provide the following resources:

• Access and on site training on the explosives equipment
• Completion of third-party reports in accordance with assessment instructions
• Learners will be required to utilise mobile devices to collect workplace evidence onsite.

The manage blasting operations course is structured to be delivered in the following way:

• Face-to-Face 
• On-the-Job Practical aspects facilitated by your site and learners have 6 months to complete

or

• Fully On-Line self paced course
• On-the-Job Practical aspects facilitated by your site and learners have 6 months to complete 

METEX Solutions can provide accredited training  in the following locations:

• New South Wales
• Tasmania (Certificate NO.: T10/22)

 The following Assessment Activities are required to be completed:

• Theory Assessment including calculations required for stock inventory control
• Evidence of supervising shotfiring activities for 1 occasion

Note: Evidence can be backdated up to 6 months
